Facilities Manager
Job Summary:
The Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring the functionality, maintenance, and repair of all company-owned facilities, including forklifts and other warehouse equipment. This role oversees building maintenance, HVAC installations, landscaping, and other infrastructure repairs. Additionally, the Facilities Manager will lead a team of maintenance personnel and janitorial staff to maintain a safe, efficient, and well-maintained work environment.
Job Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Schedule and oversee routine preventive maintenance for product-moving equipment, facility doors, HVAC systems, air filters, refrigerant levels, air ducts, and painting.

Conduct building repairs, including basic electrical work (e.g., repairing circuit breakers, replacing light switches and bulbs).

Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.

Inspect and coordinate repairs for fire and security alarm systems.

Implement pest control measures as needed.

Project & Contractor Management

Manage maintenance projects from initiation to completion, including bidding, evaluating quotes, monitoring progress, and validating solutions.

Work with contractors for specialized repairs and renovations.

Team Leadership

Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance personnel and janitorial staff.

Ensure timely completion of seasonal and recurring tasks to prevent weather-related or operational disruptions

Assist in setting up ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems, conducting repairs as needed.

Support company events, vendor visits, customer tours, and exhibits by ensuring facilities are prepared.
Requirements and Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Certification in HVAC, building maintenance, or a relevant field preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in people management.

Hands-on experience with tools, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and common building appliances.

Proficiency in using electric hand pallet jacks, stand-up pallet jacks, and forklifts.

Basic project management skills, including scheduling and coordinating work with contractors.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to complete tasks efficiently and identify areas for improvement.

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. (and over 50 lbs. with assistance)
